22,387 kilometers by dry feet. Here is the world’s longest possible walking route
The longest possible walking route leads through 2 continents and more than a dozen countries. The walk begins in Cape Town and ends in Magadan, Siberia. Its length is almost half the circumference of the equator. Can you make it?
A Reddit user is responsible for creating such a route. The longest possible walking route was created in the Google Maps app back in 2019. The Internet user created a route that does not require any airplane flights, ferries or other means of transportation. Your own muscles will suffice.
Which way is the longest possible walking route?
The route runs for 22,387 kilometers, where you can visit more than a dozen countries. Along the way one passes:
- The entire African continent from south to north,
- Suez Canal
- Turkey,
- Central Asia
- Siberia
The brillantmap portal calculated that it would take 187 days to walk the entire route, but only if you walked continuously, which is obviously unlikely. Assuming a walking time of 8 hours a day, the total trip would take as many as 562 days.
