One of the most important factors stimulating the development of artificial intelligence in photography turned out to be the high demand for inexpensive and compact cameras and smartphones, with the help of which good quality pictures can be taken. In their case, hardware deficiencies, resulting from the trend towards miniaturization of image capturing technologies, had to be compensated for by software. It was the software that compensated for the use of mediocre lenses, low-performance sensors and the resignation from the optical zoom.
The second, but no less important reason for the search for AI solutions in the photography industry was the fashion for communicating through images, primarily in social media.
