An abandoned settlement in Turkey looks like Disneyland. Why doesn’t anyone live there?
Disneyland is associated with a place full of joy and fun. Burj Al Babas, however, has little in common with fairy tale characters. Here is a story without a happy ending.
Abandoned places are most often associated with old, neglected and unsafe buildings. And that’s usually what they look like, but there are exceptions around the world. This abandoned estate in Turkey is often compared to the famous castle that is the symbol of Disneyland. Its fairy tale, however, did not have a happy ending.
Abandoned Disneyland in Turkey
Burj Al Babas is a forgotten housing complex located in the vicinity of Mudurn in northwestern Turkey. This development project features a total of 732 nearly identical houses, each designed to resemble a tiny castle, providing residents with a sense of grandeur and luxury. Despite its grandiose design and ambitious plans, the Burj Al Babas housing complex now stands abandoned and forgotten.
