During the latest excavations in southeastern Turkey, archaeologists discovered a partially preserved Roman floor covered with a mosaic. It covered an area of over 100 square meters.

Emergency excavations in southeastern Turkey
The latest archaeological work took place near the city of Mardin, in the Kızıltepe district, in southeastern Turkey. Researchers received reports of illegal excavations at a monument known as Kela Hanma. The structure was already significantly deteriorated, and intruders regularly appeared on its premises.
