Not everywhere in the world Christmas is celebrated in the same way. When it’s winter in December in the north and a “white Christmas” happens, in the southern hemisphere it’s full summer. Here are 5 non-obvious Christmas traditions from different corners of the planet.

The most beautiful holiday of the year — this is what is often said about Christmas. In Europe, it is an exceptionally long time. We celebrate for as many as three days: on Christmas Eve, and then the first and second days of Christmas. Each family cherishes its own traditions, but most Europeans celebrate Christmas in a similar way. A decorated Christmas tree is a must at home, and the Christmas Eve table is dominated by Lenten dishes, led by carp and borscht with ravioli. And how is Christmas celebrated around the world?
