Chinese archaeologists have unearthed an almost perfectly preserved tomb from the Ming dynasty era. The discovery was made in Xinzhou, a city in central China.
Archaeologists in the city of Xinzhou, located in the Shanxi province, were conducting excavations preceding the reconstruction of a national highway. A team of researchers from the local Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology received a routine assignment to survey the area before the construction began. Unexpectedly, in the vicinity of Xinfu district, they stumbled upon a door leading to the tomb. Thus began months of research that led to a series of extraordinary discoveries.
