Jurassic Brawl: The Epic Fossil Encounter of Mammal vs. Dinosaur

This is one of the most unique fossils from the Cretaceous found so far. The intertwined remains of a mammal and a dinosaur were found in China. The animals died when they fought each other to the death.

Dinosaurs dominated the Earth millions of years ago? As it turns out, this was not always true. Sometimes they fell prey to mammals much smaller than themselves. It has just been announced that a remarkable material evidence has been found to support this statement. An absolutely unique fossil — a mammal and a dinosaur intertwined, fighting to the last moment of their lives — has been discovered in China.

Most importantly — the mammal won in this fight. You can see in detail that it was already biting into the dinosaur’s rib, holding it down with its paws. The fight was so fierce that the animals failed to escape the mudslide — the effect of the volcanic eruption. The material buried them and so they survived until our time.
