Facial reconstructions have recently gained particular popularity in the scientific community. Digital models reveal the appearance not only of ordinary people but also of historically known figures.

Polygamy in the Bronze Age

Genetic studies of human remains can also reveal information about the origins of the deceased and relationships among members of a given community. And here, too, there is no shortage of surprises. Researchers came to interesting conclusions after finding the skeletons of a three-generation family in a burial mound in the Nepluyevsky cemetery in Russia.

By reconstructing the genealogical tree based on the DNA of the skeletons, scientists determined that the family that lived on the border of Asia and Europe 3800 years ago…
