Stolen, lost and hijacked military equipment — decoding technology.
Attempts to capture, hijack or steal extremely important enemy military equipment have a very long history. Lost missiles, sunken submarines or hijacked aircraft are priceless prey for military intelligence. Who and how did they get it?
A few days ago, the world heard the news that the Ukrainians had captured a part of the Russian radio-electronic warfare complex called Krasukha-4. This valuable equipment was withdrawn from the combat zone and — most likely — will be sent to the United States via the Ramstein air base located in Germany.
It can be assumed that military specialists are already rubbing their hands at the thought of the possibility of a thorough examination of the Russian system. This should not come as a surprise, since the Krasukh-4 is a piece of equipment designed to interfere with various electromagnetic emissions, which in practice means disrupting communications, contact with drones or hindering the operation of enemy radar equipment.
By learning about this equipment and its capabilities, the Americans will gain the opportunity to effectively detect it, counter it and — possibly — destroy it…
