What are the world’s safest countries? Below is the most up-to-date ranking of the ten countries with the highest emphasis on security.
Which countries are safe? Feeling safe is a relative term, but even people without specialized knowledge can tell that some countries are much more peaceful than others. Find out where the crime rate is by far the lowest and the lives and rights of residents are best protected. I base this on a ranking covering the world’s safest countries in 2022, compiled by the Institute for Economics and Peace.
World’s safest countries 2022 — ranking
The top ten of this year’s GIP (Global Peace Index) ranking was dominated by European countries. The safest country, once again, was hailed as Iceland. New Zealand took the runner-up position, followed closely by Denmark, Portugal and Slovenia. The TOP 10 also included: Austria, Switzerland, Ireland, the Czech Republic and Canada, which closes the top 10.
