The ancient Egyptians created one of the most important civilizations in world history. The Giza pyramids and smaller tombs they left behind continue to fascinate archaeologists. Thousands of ram’s heads in an Egyptian temple

We still don’t know all the secrets of ancient Egypt. The latest discovery sheds new light on the ancient city, and now village, of Abydos. NY archaeologists found 2,000+ ram heads dating back 4,300+ years, along with other animal mummies. Placed in temple to honor Ramses II 1,000 years after his death. Researchers associated with the discovery added that rams and other animals were used for sacrifices at the time.
